OFCOM wants Freesat
UK media regulator Ofcom is considering whether to offer viewers a 'Freesat' option to satellite-delivered pay-TV. Ofcom, aspart of a document issued last week, says the plans could see it backing a 'Free' digital satellite rival to BSkyB. "Free-to-view digital satellite could play an important role in increasing take-up among those who do not want pay TV," said the report, 'Driving Digital Switchover' published April 5.
