"Widespread" European
HDTV by 2006
A London conference on High Definition television heard
from a consensus of speakers that there could be
1m HDTV viewers in Europe by 2006, and with the numbers
ramping up speedily thereafter. "Defining European
HDTV", organised by Inside Satellite's sister
company TV Conferences (ww.tvconferences.com), looked
at the technical and market-base challenges that
faced Europe's adoption of HDTV.
