Sky Italia promises HDTV
Sky Italia’s CEO Tom Mockridge has confirmed his News Corp-owned Italian pay-TV platform will launch high-def services next year. This means that HDTV services are now guaranteed for Germany, Austria, Scandinavia, France, UK and Ireland, and now Italy. The missing major Euro-markets are Spain and Portugal, and Poland.
