Eutelsat’s nightmare: A “reach for the stars” too far?
You can imagine the nightmare text being used for months, if not years, to come in any story written about Eutelsat, saying something on the lines of …”Eutelsat, which embarrassingly pulled its IPO in October 2005…” Eutelsat’s October 27 decision to catastrophically scrub its long-awaited IPO must be a cause for concern across the industry. It must also be a major worry to CEO Giuliano Berretta, who had long pushed for an IPO as vindication of Eutelsat’s status in the industry as its “third-largest” satellite operator.
