“Grave reservations” over OFCOM plan
A number of high-profile submissions were made to the UK’s media and telecoms regulator Ofcom on its plans to auction off L-band spectrum within the UK. Apolite, but firm, objection came from the European Satellite Operators Assoc., via their Satellite Action Plan Regulatory Group (SAP). SAP argues that Ofcom’s proposals would not result in the most efficient use of spectrum, and worse, would raise a “de facto barrier to S-DAB entry in the UK”.
